Orally explain the process of using and reading a protractor
Illustrate the measure of an angle as the part of a circle whose center is at the vertex of the angle and use degrees as the units to measure an angle.
Determine the approximate measures of angles in degrees to the nearest whole number using a protractor.
Next week in math, we will begin fun projects that review all of the skills we have covered in 4th grade. This is what we will be doing the rest of the year!!

Author Visit
Lunch Visitors
Please make sure that you are reading the Principal Newsletter each week as it will have more information about events and important reminders that we will not have in our BLOG.
Watches and Phones
We have noticed that more and more of our students have been wearing smart watches to school, so we want to take a minute to be clear about expectations for those devices.
Students are not permitted to communicate on their personal devices during the school day. (The same rule applies for their iPads.) This includes parents. Please help us in reinforcing this expectation. If you need to get in touch with your son/daughter during the day, please email your child's teacher or call the front office.
We have talked about these expectations with the students. We've let them know that if they are using their smart watch, cell phone, or other personal devices to communicate, they will receive one warning. After that one warning, we will ask for those devices to stay at home.
