Sept 7-10: BOOK FAIR WEEK!!
Language Arts: We will begin our unit on reading intensely to grow ideas! We will also be working on our stamina for independent reading! For writing we will be reviewing how to add details to sentences.
Math: We will be reviewing place value, comparing, and ordering. We will also learn how to read and interpret stem and leaf plots.
Science: We will be reviewing science safety rules and science tools we use in labs! We will also look at different types of scientists and their jobs.
Social Studies: We will define what a region is and classify regions including their characteristics by creating a map divided into sections (regions) based on the characteristics of that area.
Free Lunch:
We have had a little confusion with the free lunch program for elementary aged students. The free lunch consists of a full meal - entree, milk / juice, fruits and veggies. Other items, such as "seconds," chips, snacks, ice cream, and bottled water are NOT part of the free lunch program and will be charged.
