  • Convert measurements within the same measurement system, customary or metric, from a smaller unit.
  • Solve problems involving length, intervals of time, liquid volumes, mass, and money using addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division, as appropriate.

Science:

This week in science we will continue learning about the different types of energy.

    • Differentiate among forms of energy, including mechanical, electrical, light, thermal, and sound.

Please make sure that you are reading the Principal Newsletter each week as it will have more information about events and important reminders that we will not have in our BLOG.  Please click the picture below and it will take you to the newsletter.

    iPads

TCE 4th graders should come to school each day with their iPad and charger. Please ensure your child charges his/her iPad each evening. Your child should also check periodically to ensure his/her iPad's software is up to date (settings --> general --> software update).
Learners will continue filling in a "Charge Bank" to keep track of their daily iPad battery charge.  We hope this helps learners to become responsible for making sure their iPad is fully charged and in their backpacks each morning.  Below, is the daily tracker they will fill out each morning when they arrive to school.

Please remember school issued iPads are for school use only.  We do random iPad checks every few weeks. We reminded the students daily that school issued iPads are not for personal photography, books, or communicating with friends or parents via emails or chats, or watching videos on you tube that were not assigned by their teacher. It would help us out if you could reinforce this home.
