Language Arts and Social Studies

In Reading, we will begin our unit on traditional tales covering myths, legends, and fables.

In Writing, we will begin opinion writing and composing essays.

In Grammar and Spelling, we will correct fragments and run-on sentences. In spelling we will continue prefixes and suffixes.

In Social Studies, we will identify leaders important to the founding of Texas as a republic.

In Math this week, we will begin our unit on fractions.

Determine if two given fractions are equivalent using a variety of methods
Compare two fractions with different numerators and different denominators and represent the comparison using the symbols >, =, or <

Next week in math, we will continue our unit on fractions.

In Science this week, describe and illustrate the continuous movement of water above and on the surface of Earth through the water cycle, and explain the role of the Sun as a major source of energy in this process

Hats and Toys

Our classrooms are a place for learning, growing, and having fun with friends. To help everyone stay focused, we ask that hats and toys stay at home. That way, our classrooms can be distraction-free, and we can all enjoy our time together while learning new things.

Tennis Shoes for PE & Extended Specials Day (CTT)

Please help ensure your child wears appropriate shoes on PE days and Move & Groove (Fridays). Additionally, every other Wednesday, the 4th grade has extended specials during CTT. The dates are outlined for the remainder of 2025 below. Thank you for your help in making sure your child is safely dressed for the gym!
