Language Arts and Social Studies
In Reading, we will continue character traits and how they are influenced by a character's feelings, thoughts, actions, and dialogue. We will also continue our novel study of Tiger Rising.
In Writing and Grammar, we will work on writing fictional stories and developing characters as well as focus on verbs: past, present, and future.
In Spelling, we will focus on the short e & long e spelling pattern
In math this week, we will continue our unit covering place value of whole numbers.
- Round whole numbers to a given place value through the hundred thousand place
- Add and subtract whole numbers and decimals to the hundredths place using the standard algorithm
- Round to the nearest 10, 100, or 1,000 or use compatible numbers to estimate solutions involving whole numbers

Hats and Toys
Our classrooms are a place for learning, growing, and having fun with friends. To help everyone stay focused, we ask that hats and toys stay at home. That way, our classrooms can be distraction-free, and we can all enjoy our time together while learning new things.
Tennis Shoes for PE & Extended Specials Day (CTT)
Please help ensure your child wears appropriate shoes on PE days and Move & Groove (Fridays). Additionally, every other Wednesday, the 4th grade has extended specials during CTT. The dates are outlined for the remainder of 2025 below. Thank you for your help in making sure your child is safely dressed for the gym!
