In Reading and Writing, we are continuing to review all the skills we have learned this year to help us prepare for the Reading STAAR on April 9th.
In Grammar and Spelling, we will work on capitalizing historical events and specific time periods in history.
In Social Studies, we will explain how the cattle industry helped Texas grow and tell how significant Texans made important contributions.
Math
In Math this week, we will:
- Identify relative sizes of measurement units within the customary and metric system
- Convert measurements within the same measurement system, customary or metric, from a smaller unit into a larger unit or a larger unit into a smaller unit when given other equivalent measures represented in a table
- Solve problems that deal with measurements of length, intervals of time, liquid volumes, mass, and money using addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division as appropriate

Hats and Toys
Our classrooms are a place for learning, growing, and having fun with friends. To help everyone stay focused, we ask that hats and toys stay at home. That way, our classrooms can be distraction-free, and we can all enjoy our time together while learning new things.
Tennis Shoes for PE & Extended Specials Day (CTT)
Please help ensure your child wears appropriate shoes on PE days and Move & Groove (Fridays). Additionally, every other Wednesday, the 4th grade has extended specials during CTT. The dates are outlined for the remainder of 2025 below. Thank you for your help in making sure your child is safely dressed for the gym!
